There was a frog named Sammy. Sammy was a happy frog, he loved to splash in his little pond and swim around. His friend, Flipp the Duck, was his best friend. They lived together in their little pond. Sammy hopped around and Flipp paddled through the water. They played hard all day splashing around and then slept on the sandy bank. One day Sammy brought up the fact that they hadn’t gotten rain for a while. Flipp agreed but they shrugged it off and continued to play. They continued to think to themselves that it would rain but after a week they still hadn’t gotten rain. Their pond began to dry up. One day Sammy and Flipp woke up and when they walked down to their pond excited to play, they were met with a dry hole. What was once their pond was now a giant muddy hole. Sammy couldn’t believe it “what are we going to do without a pond?” he muttered. Flipp began to say, “maybe it will rain and then it will fill back up”. Sammy agreed and he and Flipp sat in their muddy hole waiting for even the slightest drop of rain. Days passed without any rain the days were filled with boredom, Sammy began to ask, “will it ever rain?” Flipp responded “it will one day we just have to be patient”. One day while Flipp was curled up and Sammy was staring at the sky, Sammy felt a small drop on his forehead. “Flipp get up I felt a drop!” he screamed, Flipp perked up and looked at the sky more drops began to fall. They both stood up and started leaping with joy as it began to rain harder and harder. They watched as their pond slowly filled back up Sammy yelled “cannon ball!” and jumped in, Flipp watched and couldn’t wait any longer and then he splashed into their pond. They both splashed each other as the rain began to fall even harder. Every day they would play in their pond, and it continued to rain every day for them and they never had to worry about a dry pond again.

I was born in this historically and culturally rich hometown of Lung Yeuk Tau, but I grew up abroad. Every time I return here, it feels like stepping into a world where time has reversed.

Every brick and tile here tells a story of the past. The old walled village, situated on the mountainside, stands with its majestic blue brick walls, seemingly narrating tales of repelling pirates. The steps in front of the village gate are cleverly designed as a defensive position, making it difficult for enemies to attack. The small holes and high platforms on the walls were used to monitor outside movements, ensuring the villagers' safety. Such intelligent architectural designs leave me in awe of my ancestors' wisdom.

Passing through the ancient gate, I see orderly houses with winding paths paved with blue stones. Not far away, the grand ancestral hall—Song Ling Tang Gong Hall—showcases our family's long history. The exquisite wood carvings and murals inside the hall reflect our family’s glory and traditions.

Beside the ancestral hall stands the Tin Hau Temple, with its red walls and yellow tiles radiating a sacred atmosphere. The ancient bronze bell inside tells of countless pious wishes, as if feeling the divine protection. The surrounding statues of the Earth God and the Goddess of Heaven further immerse me in the rich local beliefs.

When I step into other walled villages like Dong Ge and Wing Ning, I can still sense the vigor of their long history. Although many walls are now damaged, I can still imagine the tense scenes of repelling pirates. The altars and other structures make me feel the sincere hopes of my ancestors for wealth and success.

As I stroll through this culturally rich land, I can almost feel the footsteps of my ancestors and the vitality of this home. No matter where I go, my roots will always be here—in Lung Yeuk Tau.

1.  It was July 4th and John Jr and Yuēhàn were excited about that evenings festivities. 
 Yuēhàn  was curious as to why there was a holiday, so John Jr went and did a little research.
2.  John Jr found out about a very important document called the Declaration of Independence and explained to Yuēhàn a little history on it.  John Jr explained that America was involved in a Revolutionary War.  The Declaration of Independence is the founding document of the United States. On July 4, 1776, it was adopted unanimously by the 56 delegates to the Second Continental Congress, who convened at the Pennsylvania State House, later renamed Independence Hall, in the colonial era capital of Philadelphia. 
The Committee of Five, including John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman, were the ones who had the most influential input into authoring the document.  Thomas Jefferson actually wrote the original document the Second Continental Congress then did the editing.  The signers of the Declaration of Independence are the nation's Founding Fathers.
3.  John Jr explained how the Declaration explains to the world why the Thirteen Colonies regarded themselves as independent states no longer subject to British colonial rule.  The Declaration justified the independence of the United States by listing 27 colonial grievances against King George III and by asserting certain natural and legal rights, including a right of revolution.
5.  John Jr told  Yuēhàn that The Declaration of Independence has proven an  impactful statement on human rights, particularly its second sentence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 
6.  Later that day, John Jr and Yuēhàn began their Independence Day celebrations with a family picnic.  They night ended with a spectacular fireworks display.

 Hurricane Beryl  barely hit Jamaica. 
Jamaica has fourteen parishes, Manchester, St. James, St. Thomas, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Ann, St. Mary, St. Elizabeth, Trelawny, St. Catherine, Clarendon, Portland, Westmoreland and Hanover 

During hurricane season, Jamaica buys extra dry goods, such as breads Foska Oats, Brunswick Sardines, tin mackerels, salted cod fish and alot of water.  Most Jamaicans didnt think the storm was going to touch Jamaica.  The rains started and the people especially those that did not prepare. The storm barely touched Jamaica. however the paishes and Manchester, St. Elizabeth and Clarendon were hit by the storm. alot of light posts went down. houses lost roofs. Alec, a white 4 year old blonde haired, blue eyed, happy little boy, along with Toria, his white 10 year old sister who has long brown hair and hazel green eyes with glasses, take their sick grandma on a quest to find a special flower to make her better. They hold hands and jump into a large opening inside a large tree covered in moss, mushrooms and flowering vines. 
They eneter into a magical realm full of magical creatures like tiny fairies, majestic unicorns and mermaids. They help them on their quest by giving them secret doors to go through to find this magical flower. But as they continued on these magical paths, Grandma became so happy in this realm that she decided that because she felt so much better in this enchanted place, that she would like to go ahead and stay. Alec and Toria were sad at first, but he magical creatures gave them a special magical key that they could use anytime they missed their grandma. The could just close their eyes when they turned the key and with their imaginations, would jump right back into the magical land. Grandma was happier than ever before and could do wonderful things. She swam with the mermaids and could even breathe like them under water! She was able to fly where she wanted when she would go on adventures with her fairy friends. The unicorns would always follow and whinny and dance around her with delight. Alec and Toria loved this land too but knew they could only visit once in a while. As they grew, they would visit their grandma, but less and less as there families grew. But they never forget and they always have their secret enchanted key to jump through the tree door anytime they wish. One day many years from now, they too will join their grandma for the magical adventures that await them beyond the tree door.

 a sea creature living in the most beautiful reef intill one day a piece of trash comes into their home. They have no idea wha it is and eventually they ignored it. Intill the pill of trash gets larger and larger. The mayor of the reef says, ‘dont do anything and say inside.’ Main character and her friends decide to fix the problem and come up with a clean up crew, where everyday they help clean up their community. Once theres less and less amount of trash, more and more people notice and want to help the kids and join their clean up crew. Once more and more people join and less and less trash that eventually theres no more trash in their reef. The mayor of the reef notice this and decide to award the friend group that oringal made the clean up crew and make a day out of helping protecting the reef/community from future trash

Bubbles & Waves 

1.  John Jr got a camera for his birthday.  John Jr and Nazut would play dress up and take funny pictures of each other.  They had fun doing this and would put on some really wild costumes.
2.  John Jr would dress up like cowboys, Sailors, Race Car Driver and other fun jobs.  Nazut enjoyed dressing up like wizards and witches.  They started to do video recording with the camera. 
3.  John Jr and Nazut decided to make a movie for John Jr parents.  They planned out the plot and then thought of a title.  The decided to do John Jr and Nazuts Funny Stories.  The came up with three funny stories and started rehearsal.  Once they had the skit perfected the recorded it.  
4.  One skit was John Jr eating banana and dropping peel so Nazut would trip and fall.  Another skit was a magic trick where Nazut cuts John in half.  The 3rd one was where John Jr facts in Nazuts space and laughed about it.
5.  John Jr and Nazut add special effects to their videos and pile the three videos into one.  John Jr and Nazut made some popcorn and presented their movie to John Jr's parents and gave them some popcorn.  Everyone watched the movie. John Jr's mom and dad clapped and cheered and John Jr and Nazut's goofy movie.

Adventures in the sea

Amita comes from a family in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, and was born into a close-knit joint family. Her childhood was filled with joy, as she was the first child and received abundant love and pampering from her parents and grandparents. In her family, women from her mother’s generation had limited exposure to education and job opportunities. However, her family took a different approach for her generation where they were always encouraged to pursue their studies. Her mother hoped she would become a doctor, but her passion lay in mathematics, and she aspired to pursue engineering. Despite her mother’s initial reservations about engineering being a suitable path for a girl, she managed to convince her parents. However, challenges remained. Her town had only one science college for girls, and unfortunately, mathematics wasn’t offered there. Undeterred, she persuaded the school to approve math as a subject, and it was heartening to see a few of her friends choose the same path. When everything seemed to be going well, and she was at a crucial point in choosing my career, she faced medical emergencies and underwent multiple surgeries. It took nearly two years to return to normal life, which unfortunately meant she couldn’t attend the engineering college she had hoped for.
 
Disappointment weighed heavily, but she heeded her father’s advice. She pursued her graduation in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and secured the second-highest rank in college. Later, she completed her master’s and married, relocating to Pune. There, she joined L&T Infotech.

1.  John Jr and Vasi saw a show about gardening.  It really sparked their interest.  John Jr asked his mom if he and Vasi could plant a garden in backyard.  She agreed and found a how to book on gardening for John Jr and Vasi.
2.  John Jr got some of his allowance money and he and Vasi took off to the store.  At the store John Jr and Vasi purchased cucumber, pepper, cantaloupe, radish and lettuce seeds.  
3.  John Jr and Vasi had to prep the ground for their garden.  They had to till the soil to a depth of about 10 inches,add fertilizer to enrich the soil, Level the garden bed, and Water the soil well and let it settle for a few days.
4. A few days passed and John Jr and Vasi were ready to plant.  They poked holes for the seeds, then placed seeds and covered dirt over seeds.  After planting , they gave a nice watering to their garden.
5.  John Jr and Vasi looked after and watered their garden daily.  A few weeks went by and there was some buds sprouting.  A few more weeks later there was fruit and vegetables starting to form.
6.. As summer was closing in, the fruit and veggies were ripe and in abundance.  John Jr and Vasi went out to the garden and picked all the fruits and vegetables.  There was so much that they gave Granny and a few neighbors some of their harvest.  John Jr mom gave him and Vasi some cut up cucumber and cantaloupe.  They really enjoyed it.

På en solig dag i Regnbågsträdgårdens förskola är Fina Fjäril fylld med energi och bestämmer sig för att bygga ett hus av löv. Men hon blir snabbt distraherad när hon ser sina vänner göra andra aktiviteter. Först hoppar hon från sitt lövbygge till Humlan Hubert som spelar musik och dansar. Därefter dras hon vidare till Mio Myra som bygger en hinderbana, sedan till Gräshoppan Gil som ordnar blommor,.

När fröken ropar att det är dags att städa, inser Fina att hon inte har avslutat någon av sina aktiviteter och blir överväldigad. Hon vet inte hur hon ska hinna städa allt, medan de andra redan är klara med sina områden. Fina känner sig frustrerad och vill ge upp.

Då kommer hennes vänner till undsättning: Mio föreslår att de gör städningen till en hinderbana, Hubert spelar musik för att göra städningen roligare, och Gil hjälper Fina att städa ett område i taget.

Med hjälp av sina vänner klarar Fina av att städa allt och lär sig att man kan göra saker roligt och hanterbart genom att ta ett steg i taget. I slutet av dagen sitter alla tillsammans och njuter av fredagsfilmen, och Fina känner sig stolt över att ha avslutat alla sina uppgifter med hjälp av sina vänner.
