Но самым удивительным оказалось то, что клад, который они нашли, был не золотом или драгоценностями, а старыми письмами и фотографиями, рассказывающими историю деревни Простоквашино. Федор и его друзья узнали, что их деревня когда-то была центром ярмарок и праздников, а жители славились своим гостеприимством и умением веселиться. John Jr went to the internet and began telling Yuēhàn about the Mayflower and Pilgrims. 2. John Jr explained that the Mayflower was an English sailing ship that transported a group of English families, known today as the Pilgrims, from England to the New World. After 10 weeks at sea, Mayflower, with 102 passengers, reached the United States, dropping anchor near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on November 21, 1620. The captain of the Mayflower was Christopher Jones. 3. John Jr went on that The pilgrims wanted to separate from the Church of Egland and they believed God wanted them to voyage to America. During the voyage, the pilgrims passed the time by reading by candlelight or playing cards and games. Upon the arrival on land, the pilgrims were surprised to see the ground frozen and that led to their inability to plant and harvest food. 4. John Jr told Yuehan about the native Indians giving a hand to the pilgrims. The Indians taught the pilgrims how to gather food and survival skills. The help from the Indians save 53 pilgrims from ultimately perishing. Most of the pilgrims died from diseases described as a mixture of scurvy, pneumonia, and tuberculosis. 5. The following year, the 53 pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians had a celebration that we now call Thanksgiving. The Mayflower was torn apart after Christopher Jones passed away. 6. John Jr and Yuehan started counting down the days to Thanksgiving. They planned a special tribute and prayer for the Pilgrim and Indians!

The Apple of Friendship In a cozy forest lived three little animals: Bunny Ears, Hedgehog Spiky, and Squirrel Fluffy. They often played together in a sunny clearing. One day, Bunny Ears found a big, juicy apple. He was very excited and was about to eat it all by himself, but then he thought about his friends. "Hey, Spiky and Fluffy!" Ears called out. "I found a tasty apple. Let's share it!" Hedgehog and Squirrel came running, and together they divided the apple into three equal pieces. "How wonderful it is to have friends!" said Fluffy, munching on her piece. "And how nice it is to share!" added Spiky. From that day on, the little animals always shared everything they found. They understood that it's more fun together, and sharing is a sign of true friendship and kindness.

God describes David as “a man after My own heart” (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22). That does not mean that he was blameless. We only need to read 2 Samuel 11 to see that David has fallen very low: he took the wife of one of his generals, Bathsheba, because she was very beautiful. When Bathsheba turned out to be pregnant, David called her husband Uriah home from the battle field hoping he would sleep with her. That would “solve” the problem of Bathsheba’s pregnancy. But Uriah didn’t go home, not even when made drunk, so David sent him back to the battle field with a letter ordering his death. After Uriah’s death, David married Bathsheba. The description of this whole story ends with a clear comment: “the thing that David had done displeased the Lord” (2 Samuel 11:27). God didn’t let David get away with this. He confronted him with his sin, and David repented. Psalm 51 gives us an intimate glimpse of his emotions:

Benny the bunny loved playing in the meadow with his bright red balloon. He would toss it in the air, chase it through the grass, and watch it float above the flowers. But one windy afternoon, a big gust carried Benny’s balloon high into the sky and far, far away. “Oh no! My balloon!” Benny cried, hopping after it. He searched near the big oak tree, around the sparkling pond, and even under the berry bushes, but the balloon was nowhere to be found. Just as he was about to give up, his friend Mia the mouse scurried over. “What’s wrong, Benny?” she asked. “My balloon is gone,” Benny sighed. “I’ll never find it.” Mia thought for a moment and then squeaked, “Let’s look together!” So Benny and Mia searched side by side. Along the way, they met Ollie the owl. “I saw something red floating toward the hill,” Ollie hooted. “Maybe that’s your balloon!” Benny’s ears perked up. “Come on, let’s go!” They ran toward the hill and found Finn the fox watching something bob in the branches of a tall tree. “Is that your balloon?” Finn asked, pointing with his fluffy tail. Benny’s eyes lit up. “It is!” But the tree was too tall for Benny, Mia, or Finn to climb. Just then, Ollie flapped his strong wings and flew up to the highest branch. Carefully, he nudged the balloon free, and it floated gently down into Benny’s paws. “Thank you, everyone!” Benny beamed. “I thought I lost my balloon, but I found something even better—friends who help each other!” Mia, Ollie, and Finn all smiled. They spent the rest of the day playing together, knowing that friendship was even more special than a red balloon.
