He also performed miracles, healed sick people and told amazing stories about God. He had all together 13 different disciples that helped him in spreading the word of God. 3. John thought Jesus sounded tough and kind and wanted to live in a manner like Jesus. 4. Granny read the Bible to John and gave him an important bible verse to remember. John 3:16 says "“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Granny thinks that verse gives people the glorious hope of eternal life in heaven through the love of God and death of Jesus Christ. Tiny fairies danced in the air, giggling like little bells. “Wow!” Bluebelle said. “It’s so pretty!” Lulu led them to a **magical tree** covered in **twinkling stars**. “This is the **Wishing Tree**,” she said. “You can make a wish!” Bluebelle thought for a moment. Then she whispered, “I wish for a big, beautiful rainbow!” The tree **glowed**, and—**whoosh!**—a huge, bright **rainbow** stretched across the sky! Daddy lifted Bluebelle up, and together, they **slid down the rainbow**, laughing all the way. “Wheee!” Bluebelle giggled. After a fun ride, Lulu clapped her hands. “It’s time to go home,” she said. With a little **sparkle** of fairy dust, Bluebelle and Daddy were back in their garden. Bluebelle yawned and cuddled into Daddy’s arms. “That was the best fairy tale ever,” she said sleepily. John Jr went to the internet and began telling Yuēhàn about the Mayflower and Pilgrims. 2. John Jr explained that the Mayflower was an English sailing ship that transported a group of English families, known today as the Pilgrims, from England to the New World. After 10 weeks at sea, Mayflower, with 102 passengers, reached the United States, dropping anchor near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on November 21, 1620. The captain of the Mayflower was Christopher Jones. 3. John Jr went on that The pilgrims wanted to separate from the Church of Egland and they believed God wanted them to voyage to America. During the voyage, the pilgrims passed the time by reading by candlelight or playing cards and games. Upon the arrival on land, the pilgrims were surprised to see the ground frozen and that led to their inability to plant and harvest food. 4. John Jr told Yuehan about the native Indians giving a hand to the pilgrims. The Indians taught the pilgrims how to gather food and survival skills. The help from the Indians save 53 pilgrims from ultimately perishing. Most of the pilgrims died from diseases described as a mixture of scurvy, pneumonia, and tuberculosis. 5. The following year, the 53 pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians had a celebration that we now call Thanksgiving. The Mayflower was torn apart after Christopher Jones passed away. 6. John Jr and Yuehan started counting down the days to Thanksgiving. They planned a special tribute and prayer for the Pilgrim and Indians!
