Nate was happy to graduate kindergarten because he is a big boy going into firt grade 2. during the whole kindrgarten year he really liked a girl named Anne Piper that was in his class 3- he was too scared to talk to her because he thought she was so cute 4. Anne piper wears glasses and is very smart 5. nate worried that once he graduated kinder they would no longer be in the same classroom 6. first grade started and Nate's fears came true, she Anner piper went to another classroom and he no longer could admire her in class. 7 Nate looked forward to recess so he could see her in the playground 8 he realized that he had a crush on Anne and was unsure what to do. 9. nate came up with an idea, he would write her a note saying I love you but I am embarrassed to tell you 10. nate came home and started writing his ote ut he hadn't learned how to write correctly yet, so he decided to ask his mom for help 11. nate's mother helped him write the note correctly and told Nate these feelings are normal as kids start growing up. This book is about a family of four, a mom, a dad and a girl that is 9 and a boy that is 7. The story starts with the dad asking the kids if they remember the day that he got hurt at work. He is sitting on the couch and the children are sitting next to him. He then explains that he was hurt and ended up with a traumatic brain injury which is just a fancy way of saying his brain got hurt and needed time to heal again. He explains different symptoms to the children and that even though he gets mad and sad at times that it is not their fault. He loves them very much and needs them to be strong for their mom. Together they will all heal in time and he is sorry that it gets confusing at times. But he wants them to know he loves them no matter what happens.

Queen Vashti Banished: Queen Vashti refuses to appear before the king, so he deposes her. Esther Becomes Queen: A Jewish woman, Esther, is chosen as the new queen, but she keeps her Jewish identity secret. Haman’s Rise & Plot: Haman, the king’s advisor, hates the Jew Mordecai (Esther’s cousin) for not bowing to him and convinces the king to issue a decree to kill all Jews. Mordecai & Esther’s Plan: Mordecai urges Esther to speak to the king to save her people, despite the risk. Esther’s Courage: Esther hosts two banquets and finally reveals to the king that she is Jewish and that Haman is plotting against her people. Haman’s Downfall: The king, enraged, orders Haman to be hanged on the gallows Haman had built for Mordecai. Jews Saved & Victory Celebrated: The king allows the Jews to defend themselves, leading to their victory over their enemies. Purim Established: A joyous festival is declared to commemorate their survival.

Whiskers had never seen anything like it before! With a gentle thud, it landed on the grass right in front of her. Whiskers pawed at the mysterious object, and it bounced away with a funny squeak.
