But Julia, knowing the importance of teaching a child to keep things tidy from a young age, decided to seize the moment to show Lera how to take care of her belongings. "Lera, look at all the toys you have here!" said Julia with a smile. "Let’s play a fun game. We will be little helpers who help all the toys find their place." Lera looked at her mom with interest. "How do we do that?" she asked. "It’s very simple," explained Julia. "Every time you finish playing with a toy, we'll help it return to its 'home'—either on a shelf or in a box. You can imagine that the toys are your friends, and they also need to rest after playing." Lera thought for a moment, then burst into a joyful laugh. "Let's do it, Mommy!" she said, running over to the first teddy bear lying on the floor. Julia and Lera began carefully picking up the toys. Julia showed Lera where to put each item, and the little girl happily helped. They turned the cleaning into a fun game, inventing stories about how the toys thanked Lera for helping them return home. Grandma’s Volcano Story Vika loved asking Grandma questions. Grandma always had great answers! “Grandma, how did the volcano get there?” Vika asked. Grandma smiled. “The Earth has big rocks under the ground. These rocks move, like boats on water. When two rocks crash together, hot liquid called magma comes up. This makes a volcano!” Vika thought about boats bumping—Splash! She could see it in her mind. “When a volcano erupts, hot lava comes out,” Grandma said. “Smoke, rocks, and ash fly in the air. That is why we must be careful.” Vika looked at the volcano near her village. Sometimes she saw smoke. “When the volcano erupts, the hot gas and lava push through a hole on top. This hole is called a crater,” Grandma explained. Vika listened. Grandma was very good at explaining things! “Did you see a volcano erupt, Grandma?” Vika asked. “Yes,” Grandma said. “When I was little, the volcano near our village erupted.” “What did you do?” Vika asked. “We stayed inside and closed all the windows and doors. Then, our village leader told us to move to a safe place.” Vika imagined Grandma walking to a safe village. She looked at the volcano. It was quiet today, but if it started smoking, she would listen to Grandma!

With the help of Max the Loader, they recover and reattach the wheel, allowing Digsby to get back to work. They continue their task, spreading and smoothing the sand with the assistance of Robbie the Roller, until the road is finally complete. The animals cheer as Digsby and Tim finish their work, return to the yard, and rest after a productive day.

Page 2 The bus drives along the mountain road to Lung Yeuk Tau. Alex tells Emma, "The mountains here look like a dragon jumping, so it’s called Lung Yeuk Tau!" Emma laughs and says, "That’s so interesting!" Page 3 They arrive at the old village called Old Wai and see the tall walls. Emma asks, "Why are the walls so thick here?" The teacher replies, "They were built to keep pirates away!" Page 4 The kids see an old well. Alex points and says, "This well was used by villagers for drinking water." Emma looks closely and says, "The well has a metal cover. That’s special!" Page 5 Next, they visit the Tin Hau Temple. Emma is surprised and says, "There are so many statues in the temple!" The teacher explains, "These are the gods that protect the village. We can pray here for blessings." Page 6 In the temple, the kids see two old bronze bells. Emma asks, "What are these bells for?" The teacher says, "People ring the bells to tell the gods and pray for safety." Page 7 Before the trip ends, the kids take pictures on the village path. They agree to come back next time to join the village’s traditional activities and learn more about the culture. Page 8 Back at school, Alex and Emma excitedly share their trip stories. Everyone listens with great interest, looking forward to the day they can explore Lung Yeuk Tau together!
