**The Pinto Bean Story: Where I Belong** **PAGE 1/2:** My name is Pinto Bean And I am an amazing dog. Pinto introduces himself, beaming with pride despite having three legs. His story begins in Georgia, where he was found injured on the interstate. Someone rescued him and took him to a pet rescue, where he received the rest and care he needed. **Visual Notes:** Pinto smiling in front of the pet rescue building. **PAGE 3:** The veterinarians tried to save my leg, but it couldn't be helped. With support from my new friends, I learned to balance and not fall. Now, I have three legs instead of four, but I can still play, run, cuddle, and more! But I am okay with that; it suits me perfectly fine. I am special, I am unique, and my personality just can't be beat! **Visual Notes:** Pinto embracing her uniqueness. **PAGE 7:** I began to wonder if someone would adopt a dog with three legs, not four. As I laid my head down, someone came zipping through the door. I heard a voice say, "Can I adopt that beautiful dog with those big brown eyes? I really think she is the perfect size." I ran to her with a steady pace, wagging my tail all over the place! My name is Pinto, like the bean, and I now have my forever home... it’s like a dream. A kind young woman named Maddy came along and brought me home—where I belong.

Mother is explaining family history to her small baby son. She tells him that she grew up spending time with her grandma and grandpa Gross. She has many special memories with them. Grandma Gross, Darlene, grew up in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. She had 2 sisters, she liked to roller skate, she liked to write, and . Her Grandpa Gross, James, grew up in Lastrup, Minnesota. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters, he helped out at his father's grocery store, could fix just about anything, and joined the Navy. Darlene and Jim met at the Falls Ballroom and fell in love. They married September 1st, 1956 and went on to have 4 daughters. As a family, Grandma and Grandpa and the 4 girls traveled, went camping, visited grandparents, and had family dinners together. Eventually the 4 daughters grew up and had their own kids and mama was born. Mama spent time with her grandparents at their Camper at Camp Holiday, and had Christmas, holidays, and birthday celebrations with the entire family. Grandma and mama were very close. Mama has the wedding ring that grandpa presented to grandma all those years ago in 1956. Grandma and Grandpa are buried at Fort Snelling.

After a few days of this activity, Michii's green beans now grew with long roots, and quite a lot of leaves. His mother was proud when she heard his story when he returned from the field.

Cruella was fuming, she whispered again, "Abracadabra," and dragons descended like rain. But King Adoola, with courage and grace, Used magical webs, to put them in place. Now the dragons, once fierce, were loyal and true, For the King’s kind heart, they would see it through. In a last wicked move, Cruella's voice soared, "Abracadabra," and trees turned to swords. But the dragons, now friends, with flames so bright, Burned the trees down, ending the fight. King Adoola, with wisdom, captured her fast, "Abracadabra," he chanted, her powers didn't last. Banished far away, Cruella's tale did conclude, In the sky kingdom, joy was renewed. For good always triumphs, love lights the way, And in their flying castle, the family would play.
