A little girl named Chloe talks to God and knows she was made perfect by Him. Others tell her she is a boy because she doesn't like to wear dresses or play with dolls. He has commanded us to love one another as He loves us. The scriptures tell us that charity comes from a pure heart We have pure love when, from the heart, we show genuine concern and compassion for all our brothers and sisters. John Jr and Hopsi decide to have pure love from there on out. 3. John Jr and Hopsi thought of ways they could demonstrate charity. They thought up some ideas that they could do which include: Thinking and speaking kindly of others Praying for the needs of others Encouraging others to reach out to people they normally wouldn't Loving family and friends Treating others with respect and kindness Doing good things for others Praying for enemies Speaking the truth in love 4. John Jr and Hopsi decided to raise money or school supplies to help children in need of supplies for school. They selected a date and made up posters for the event to post around town. They also put a notice In the local newspaper. 6. It was the day of John Jr and Hopsi's charitable event. They set up a table with a jar for cash donations. They put out empty boxes for any supplies. Many people came by to drop off donations. The event brought in $3500 and 5 big boxes of an assortment of supplies. The supplies included backpacks, notebooks, coloring and writing supplies and glue. John Jr took everything they had received to the board of education for distribution to children in need.

The story tells of a child and mother who have come into a homeless shelter due to domestic violence in their home. The child is nervous about their new home, but a small, scruffy grey and brown dog named Scarlett welcomes the family and tells them about Quanada house. Quanada house is a home for parents and children that people stay at when their home isn't safe. It is a safe place that looks like a big house with an upstairs that has 5 bedrooms. Throughout the story, Scarlett shows the family their room, the dining room and kitchen, and the playroom. Scarlett the shelter dog helps the child make their bed up in their new room and brings toys to help it feel more like home. The child is sad about leaving their home but scarlett makes them feel better. Then they go downstairs and watch tv and eat a snack in the family room. After they eat, they go upstairs and brush their teeth and go to sleep in their temporary home.
