A Glimpse into the Life of A boy named Colton Dale Thomas Shaffner

A continuation from my first book "Angels Among Us" about my son; Caleb, who developed Asperger's Syndrome and was being bullied in school. The book and his story was created to help teachers and fellow students understand the world they live in and why they are so different from their peers.

In “Tama’s Big Adventure at Culture Night,” we follow little Tama as he prepares for his first performance in the event that brings his whole community together. Guided by his parents, friends, and the spirit of aloha, Tama learns more than just the dance steps—he learns what it means to help others, work as a team, and celebrate the beauty of diversity. Once upon a time, in a town so neat, Three little girls, oh so sweet. Claire, Grace, and Lily too, Met at Guidepost Montessori, where they grew. In Nido, they learned to crawl, With tiny steps, they'd never fall. With gentle hands and songs so bright, Their guides made everything feel right. "Claire, Grace, Lily," guides would say, "Curiosity will light your way." With every hug and every cheer, They felt so safe, with nothing to fear. In Toddler's room, with tools so grand, They learned together, hand in hand. Claire built towers reaching high, Grace sorted beads, counting by. Lily poured water with careful grace, A smile lighting up her face. "Look at us," they'd say with glee, "We're growing up, just wait and see!" In Children's House, more fun was found, With books and nature all around. They read and wrote, and counted too, Exploring worlds so fresh and new. Miss Rebekah taught Claire math so grand, With challenging work and a trinomial cube in hand. Miss Cassandra lent her a sweater so snug, A gesture of kindness, like a warm hug. "Claire, Grace, Lily," guides would sing, "You can do most anything. With your friends right by your side, The world is wide, your hearts are wide." Around the sun, they'd walk with pride, A birthday journey, side by side. With each new year, a story spun, Of growth and learning, joy and fun. Now the day has come to part, With memories dear, within their hearts. Graduating to kindergarten they go, With courage and love, their hearts aglow. "Thank you, guides," they said with cheer, "For all the love and care this year. We'll take your lessons, near and far, And always remember who we are." Hand in hand, they walked away, Ready to face a brand new day. Claire, Grace, and Lily too, Off to adventures, bright and true.

boy is a serf who needs to secure a meeting with the king. He builds a raft. paints it brown and black. he brings a knife, a grapling hook,a glass jar with holes in the top,3 pounds of compressed walnut leaves, one slice of ham, one candle a club, a pad of paper, a pack of matches and a chissel. he waits until 11:30 at night. he retrieves his raft from the hiding spot near the moat. he would be dressed in all black. after crossing the moat he scales the wall with grappling hook. uses a candle so he can see. creates a smoke bomb out of jar and leaves to make guards pass out. boy stops to eat ham. he then gets to the kings door and chisels the lock. upon entering the king is impressed he is there despite being a serf.

Bilal wakes up excited for Jumu'ah, guided by Mama and Baba's, he uses his checklist which includes tasks like clipping his nails and listening to Surat Al-Kahf. Dressed in his best Islamic attire the thawb and smelling good, Bilal heads to the mosque with his family, where he listens to an inspiring khutbah as he smiles, participates in Muslim prayers, and concludes the day by fervently asking Allah for blessings for himself and his parents, creating a meaningful Jumu'ah experience. Bilal's parents are Muslim and Mum wears the headscarf and abaya, and Dad wears Islamic attire the thawb.
