A boy got the treasure map.

Once upon a time there was a beetle who loved to tell everyone how fast he could run. “I am the fastest insect in the park,” he would say. His slow and steady friend the snail, tired of hearing him brag, challenged him to a race. “Ha,” the beetle thought to himself, “there is no way a snail could ever win against me.” On the day of the race, all of the insects in the park gathered to watch. The centipede waved a checkered flag to start the race. The beetle zoomed past the starting line as fast as he could, while the snail carefully inched herself forward bit by bit. The beetle cried out “You will never win this race at that slow, slow pace.” Out of breath from running, the beetle eventually reached a small pond of water. He thought, “I have plenty of time. I just will go around the pond.” The beetle sped off on his way. Inch by inch the snail crawled along the path. As she reached the pond, she thought, “It would be much shorter if I could somehow float across the water.” Perhaps I could build a boat. The snail gathered up some leaves, twigs and vine. She fashioned a small boat that helped her glide smoothly across the water of the pond. When she got to the other side, she hopped off the boat and could see all of her friends waiting for her at the finish line. Little by little the snail crept along the path until she crossed the finish line at long last. All of her friends cheered. “Hooray for snail!” they cried. A moment later the beetle came running across the finish line. “I can’t believe you beat me!” he said. “You know,” the snail replied with a smile, “being the fastest isn’t always everything”. “Sometimes if you just slow down for a moment and think about your challenge, you can come up with great solutions.”

1. Sydney discovers a cute little worm on her bedroom window and decides to keep it as a pet, putting it in a jar. She takes care of it every day, feeling happy to have her own pet. 2. One day, Sydney notices that her worm is missing from the jar, replaced by a lump of cotton. She frantically searches for the worm throughout the house, calling for it, but can't find it. 3.Sydney cries to her older brother, John, telling him that her worm is gone. John reassures her, explaining that the worm has turned into a cocoon, and soon it will become a butterfly. 4. Sydney is relieved, and as they watch, the cocoon moves, and a beautiful butterfly emerges. John explains that the butterfly should be set free, and although Sydney is reluctant, she agrees and watches as the butterfly flies away.

* A mother, Aling Rosa, and her daughter, Pinang, live in a distant place. * Aling Rosa's illness leaves Pinang pampered and neglected, leading to her being left alone. * Pinang's illness causes her to stay home and she struggles to find a match. * Aling Rosa, angered by her daughter's questioning, wishes for Pinang to have many eyes to see everything. * Pinang disappears, and Aling Rosa finds a plant in her yard, which bears fruit resembling a human head surrounded by eyes. * Aling Rosa regrets her last words to Pinang and takes care of the plant, which she names Pinang. * In people's minds, Pinang is known as Pinya (Pineapple).

The Arabella Series is based on the quote by the Dali Lama “If every eight year old was taught to meditate, we would achieve world peace in one generation” and is written to bring an awareness of energy healing and practices such as meditation to children around the world. It is my vision to create kind and magical role models for children, to light a spark in them that encourages compassion, forgiveness and love.

She sets up her stand on a sunny summer morning, proudly pouring her homemade lemonade into shiny cups. But when her first customers- a group of neighborhood kids- taste the lemonade, they all wince and say, "Too sour!" Feeling discouraged, Lila sits under a shady tree to think about what went wrong. That's when her animal friends, who have been watching her, come to her rescue. Each animal brings their unique perspective- and a special ingredient- to help Lila make her lemonade just right. Sunny the Squirrel adds a touch of honey, explaining, "Sweetness balances everything!" Milo the Mouse offers a sprig of mint saying "A little freshness can go a long way!" Bella the Bunny brings the freshly cut lemons. Elli the Elephant brings the water. Lila eagerly follows their advice, mixing the ingredients into a new batch of lemonade. Together, they taste-test the new recipe, and everyone agrees- it's perfect! With her animal friends' encouragement, Lila reopens her lemonade stand. Word quickly spreads, and soon the stand is buzzing with happy customers- kids, adults, and even a friendly dog or two. Lila proudly earns enough money for her art set.
