First and final pages should introduce students to New Brunswick and the idea that NB and people have changed over time. Each page should then introduce a group that has immigrated to NB. It should include a brief, child friendly history(year/period of time), a picture, a symbol, specific of where the group came from and where they arrived and other simple information. This information should be historically accurate and should include indigenous place names as often as possible. The groups included in this book should be Indigenous Peoples, French Settlers, British Loyalists, Irish Immigrants, Scottish Immigrants, Other European Immigrants, African Canadians, Asian immigrants, Immigrants from the Middle East, Immigrants from Latin America.

Tasha is a 6 year old young pretty black girl with wavy hair. One day her Mom woke her up with a surprise. It was a shiny red tricycle and Tasha was Tasha and her Mom went for a bike ride through the neighborhood. Tasha peddled as fast as she could. They approached what they called the candy lady. The big house had a table in the front yard. it was naptime so they headed home. Tasha didn't want to take a nap so when her mom layed down Tasha snuck out of the house to ride her shiny red trycicle. she knew it was wrong but it was like the bike was calling her name. "Tasha, Tasha." Tasha tried to remember the way that her and her mom took but she got lost. she ran into a hill that she went flying down and the bike flipped and she scraped her leg and tears fell down her eyes. eventually her mom finds her and gave her a talk how important following rules were as well as obeying her parents. the take away from the story is rules are set in place to keep her safe.

Page 4 Her father nodded and explained, “Allah gave each creature a special way to praise Him. The birds sing, and the trees grow tall and strong. Each one is special in its own way.” Page 3 As they reached the edge of the lake, Thazkie saw fish swimming in the clear water. They looked so happy and free! “Papa, why did Allah make so many different animals?” she asked. Her father replied, “Allah created every animal, plant, and human with a purpose. Each one is a sign of His love and creativity.” Page 4 On their way home, Thazkie thought about all the amazing things she saw. She felt grateful for the beautiful world Allah had created. “I want to thank Allah for all these wonderful things,” she said. Page 5 Her father smiled and held her hand. “That’s right, Thazkie.We can thank Allah every day by appreciating His creations and taking care of them.” And from that day on, Thazkie remembered to look around her and say a little “thank you” to Allah whenever she saw something beautiful.

1. John Jr and Jade was learning about Jesus' teachings about honesty. Jesus wants us to be honest in our speech and keep our promises. In 1 John 3:18 Jesus says "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." Jade told John Jr that they need to be truthful in their words and actions even when it is hard. They decided they would Be more honest. 2. John Jr and Jade thought of times they were not honest. John Jr told about a time he lied to his mom about getting in cookie jar before dinner. John Jr ate 3 cookies before. His mom knew he wasn't truthful since he had no appetite for his dinner. 3. Jade told about about a time he blamed someone else for something he had done. Jade picked his neighbors flowers and blamed it on his friend Vixen to his neighbor. 4. John Jr told Jade about the two commandments that says not to steal or not to lie. John Jr decided they would practice being more trustworthy by being straightforward, and not lying, cheating, or stealing. Jade share Bible verse Proverbs 12:22 "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy." Jesus taught people that the truth will set them free from slavery to sin, self-rule, and self-justification. John Jr and Jade decided that it was very important to be truthful with God. Jesus felt honesty was a gift and loved to be around plainspoken and honest people. John Jr and Jade want to follow Jesus because he is the truth and speaks of the truth and love.
