Drippy felt the heat and began to rise into the air, turning into a tiny water vapor. Drippy was starting a big adventure! Drippy joined other tiny drops of water to form a cloud. The clouds were fluffy and soft, and Drippy was excited to be part of something so big. In the cloud, Drippy made new friends with other water drops. They danced around in the wind, having so much fun! But soon, Drippy noticed the cloud getting darker and heavier. It was starting to feel crowded with so many drops of water. One day, the cloud couldn’t hold all the water drops any longer. After the rain stopped, Drippy felt the ground begin to shake. The puddle it landed in started to flow toward a stream. Part 6: Into the Ocean! The stream grew bigger and bigger, merging with other rivers until it finally reached the vast ocean. Drippy was amazed by how big and blue the ocean looked. It spread out as far as the eye could see! Drippy had never imagined such a large body of water. Now, Drippy was a part of the ocean, and there was so much more to explore. One warm day, the sun’s heat started to warm up the ocean. Drippy felt light again and began to rise, just like before.

Grass so green, trees dance in glee, Branches sway like you and me. The storm brings wonder, can’t you see? Even in rain, there’s mystery.” Lightning flashed, thunder roared , But they were safe, their hearts soared. “Under cover, we will stay, The storm will pass, then all is okay.” As the rain poured, they stayed snug, Koko felt like a lightning bug. With every flash, with every sound, She realized courage could be found. When the storm moved on, with a quiet cheer, The skies cleared up, the coast was clear. And high above, what did they spy? A rainbow painting the sky so high! Koko and Rabbit, with smiles so wide, Knew they were safe, no need to hide. With every storm that came to be, Days turned to sunshine, no more gloom, Koko and Rabbit, chased away the boom. Mom and Dad’s incredible journey begins in Portugal, where they meet in 2019 at a 3D design course—Mom was 28 and teaching interior design classes, and Dad, 27, was dreaming of becoming an architect in Canada. In 2021, during the pandemic, they find a farm in Salmon Arm, BC, where they work in exchange for food and shelter, making their dream of moving to Canada a reality. Mom even adopts two lambs from the farm! They make many wonderful friends in Salmon Arm, and four months later, with a trusty Pontiac Aztec, they find jobs in Vancouver and Abbotsford and settle in Surrey. On May 28, 2022, they get married on a beautiful farm in Salmon Arm, surrounded by both their families and friends. Two years later, they become permanent residents and buy a cozy apartment near Gateway Station in Surrey in 2023. By 2024, their lives take a magical turn—Mom is pregnant! On October 24, baby David is born, a healthy 4.5 kg bundle of joy. Mom’s parents fly in from Portugal to help, while Dad’s parents adore David from afar. It’s a story of love, resilience, and building a family in a new land.

God describes David as “a man after My own heart” (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22). That does not mean that he was blameless. We only need to read 2 Samuel 11 to see that David has fallen very low: he took the wife of one of his generals, Bathsheba, because she was very beautiful. When Bathsheba turned out to be pregnant, David called her husband Uriah home from the battle field hoping he would sleep with her. That would “solve” the problem of Bathsheba’s pregnancy. But Uriah didn’t go home, not even when made drunk, so David sent him back to the battle field with a letter ordering his death. After Uriah’s death, David married Bathsheba. The description of this whole story ends with a clear comment: “the thing that David had done displeased the Lord” (2 Samuel 11:27). God didn’t let David get away with this. He confronted him with his sin, and David repented. Psalm 51 gives us an intimate glimpse of his emotions:
